Root CMW recovery

hey what's up everyone!
believe I've successfully flashed a recovery
ready to flash a rom got the BACKside as my choice
my question is;
What data has to absolutely be wiped? can i just flash the rom or should i wipe all of it?

if you're coming from a stock ROM, you should technically wipe everything.

Factory reset, wipe both caches and wipe the system partition. If you're worried about losing apps and the data associated with them, there's an app called Titanium which can back stuff up so you can install again after a ROM flash. There's a little info on how to backup in clockwork here.

Also and remember to take a backup in clockwork before you wipe/flash anything.
