HTC's One X & S shedding their skin?

I don't have the phone yet. Anyone here having this problem?

Where did you get the case from. CPW where I got the phone didn't have anything for the One series, and couldn't tell mw when they would have.

The article is incomplete, surprising for knowyourcell.com.

The problem is constrained to black, no reports on this for gray or white, and reports put the issue at no more than 20% of the black ones.

Way too many by my way of thinking, but still - limited in effect.

I've had mine for a week now without a case on and it is fine. No shedding or peeling. I will be getting a case as soon as I can find one or have one sent to me.

Just a cheapo until the official HTC case is released. It's quite snug, doesn't add much to the phone, but it is cheap and you can tell.

I think the HTC case is out on the 24th so it will do until then.

does this apply to the One X? I thought only the S had the micro-arc oxidation coating and ceramic back...

I think it's seperate, I think it's to do with the polycarbonate backing on the one x? I've not heard of any such issues with the micro arc oxidation on the one s

According to this site, it's the OneS with problems not the OneX. I haven't got a case for my OneX yet (just ordered a cheapy one like El Presidente's for now) and mine has no marks on it at all.
