Code scanner won't share contacts

I have the ZXing bar code scanner and it is supposed to create a qr code by clicking 'share' then 'contact' but it only lists 2 of my contacts, which have email addresses attached to them. I want to be able to call up my contacts so that someone else can scan them instead of having to input them manually.
Any thoughts?
