Hi, I'm an old guy, been around since long before the beginning of time (internet).
My first computer used vacuum tubes. I was handed a programming manual (just a few pages), given a 10 minute intro to how run it and then got to solo. My first personal computer!
My first remote terminal was 1968 and my first home terminal 1972. I was in charge of the group that wrote the first PC emulator to work as a mainframe terminal. I didn't run an on-line forum until the early 90's.
Now, never having had any programming training, I'm coming up on a Transformer and just as puzzled as many about how to make thing work.
So I'm glad to be here.
p.s. I'm a hardware and engineering type, using software largely as a tool.
