Coins in draw something

Hi all

How are the coins distributed in draw something? I originally thought that the drawer earned the coins for doing a good enough drawing for the guesser to get right. This doesn't seem to be the case though. If the guesser gets the points, surely the drawer can do rubbish drawings so that the guesser loses?

the guesser gets the coins. part of the idea of the game is to get a long streak going. if you draw crap and your partner can't guess, then you're never going to make it past a streak of 1

I love it but the score system could be better. Maybe earn more coins or bombs when you get to say a streak of 20. I have played random opponents who write the answer in. what's all that about?

You both get coins when the opponent guesses correctly. You don't get coins if the guesser guesses incorrectly, so you have an incentive to draw well. I got a streak of 40+ going on with on of my friends right now.

No, the guesser gets the coins. Look at the stats from a game your playing with a person, you will see that it shows who is getting the most coins

Play a game where you are constantly drawing 1 coin words and have your partner draw 3 coin words, you will see that in the stats you will earn almost 3 times as many coins as him/her.

My partners are always getting more coins than me, but that's cause I'm always doing the 3 coin words, while my partner are constantly doing 1 or sometimes 2 coin words. Then I start doing 1 coin words and they start giving me 3 coin words :-P

Surprisingly, Draw Something isn't about the drawing part at all. It is all about the guessing.
About the coins: your opponent gets to choose how many points you get. You are asked to choose the difficulty (And so is your opponent), and if you guess correctly, you get the number of coins allotted for the difficulty.
I have messed quite a bit with it. Like this one game I played, I would choose the highest difficulty (and so would my opponent) and we would just write the thing using the pad. There was almost no guessing involved! :D

Does anybody know how to get rid of an opponent on this? There's one guy on my current set of games who's a complete tool and his drawings have absolutely nothing to do with the word. Case in point, for the word castle he drew a spider!

I'd like an option to end the game against him but I can't find one. There are also two inactive opponents I'd like to be rid of as well.

You get coins for the word you guess -- NOT for the words you draw, despite the strong implication to the contrary. So if you are picking 3-coin words and your partner is picking 1-coin words, your partner is going to get the lion's share of the coins. Doesn't make much sense to me.
