Sorry for long post in advance. Ok, so I have a nexus 4 and I'm using cyanogen mod 11. Recently I've been going from 100 percent to almost dead by lunch with very very minimal use. It's impossible to get half a day without charging. I got wakelock detector to try to see what's up. Right now it is showing Facebook has a process com.Facebook.katana that has x524 times and messenger has one called com.Facebook.orcha in at x224!!! What is going on and how do I fix this?? I know i probably didn't give you guys all the info you need, so please tell me what all info you need. I figured that would be enough and I'm sure I'm not the first to ask what these specific wakelocks are and how to fix it. I just want to be able to make it through work without my phone dying! Thanks everyone.
com.facebook.kortana is the Facebook app, com.facebook.orcha is Facebook Messenger... How much time are these processes keeping the device awake, it is normal for apps to wake the device and do their job, messaging clients are a very common device waker, the question is how long are they holding the device awake? And those 524 & 224 times was over what time period?
With no activity, these processes seem to wake the device about once every 3 minutes, for a fraction of second each... now if I start doing FB stuff or using Messenger some, the number of wakelocks increases significantly, but the % of battery use is barely increased well the screen is off.
What I am getting at here is are they the real cause, or just significant users... Remember by default WLD only shows user apps, not system ones, install GSAM Battery Monitor and the root companion and go into App Sucker and check "View % Power Used" and "View Time Held Awake" for the real culprits... They might be FB and Messenger, but I image you will see something else, if it is FB, clear data, uninstall, re-install, and start clean.
