.com.google.Chrome files

I've had a OnePlus 5 android phone for over 2 years. In the past month or so I've been getting 8-10 .com.google.Chrome files (ending in random characters) every day in my Downloads. All are 118 kB. I've been deleting them, but they are a nuisance clogging up my Downloads folder. What are they, why have they suddenly started arriving, and how do I stop them?

In downloads, Maybe some rogue website has hijacked your browser? Try resetting it.

they are most likely cache files from websites or chrome. they are safe to download. 118 kb is nothing so i would not even worry about them.

I'm not worried (though some today are 1.7Mb), its just a pain to keep on deleting them to stop clogging up my downloads folder.
