Help com.htc or com.android......... Understanding my phone a bit better

Hi Guys,

When I go into "Manage Applications" there are a few apps I'd like to know more about and what they do.
Is there an FAQ somewhere which can tell me what the following all do:

I know some of them seem obvious however Can I remove them from my phone. Is there a list somewhere which explains what they are so that I can make an educated guess

That lot takes up about 5MB of internal memory, I can't need it all surely.............

They're all part of your phone and they're on system so they're not taking any space up (that you can use)
