Help Combined use of internal memory and sd card

Before actually buying the Galaxy S2, I would like to find out if it is possible to use the internal memory and sd card in a combined manner, for instance could I play mp3's in shuffle mode with the player having access to both memories?

For your example of mp3s in discussion, the built in music player scans both media in phone and also external sdcard... generates a default playlist, and the player plays them all just fine.
