Are you using the correct number?
Are you using the correct outgoing number? In America it is 1, Australia I believe is 67, United Kingdom is 0, each country has a different number that must be at the beginning of the number.

Are you using a service like Google Voice, or other texting app? If so, you may have to pay for minutes or something to connect with other countries.
