Posting this from my first successfully built/flashed/booted ROM.

Special thanks to BadMofo for all of his hard work in making ROMs for our volt, and thanks to the devs whom helped him out.

This is a CM12 ROM using badmofos CM12 ROM as base, but I've made some changes to certain GPS and camera files.

So far I've somehow under clocked the processor a little, and completely borked both cameras, but dang is my GPS locking fast and performing smoothly.

First boot up I downloaded GPS test app and got a lock while in my room within 20 secs to within 50 feet.

Taking outside now to test how well the lock is and whether my GPS follows me.

I'm very hopeful I'll be able to get a working CM12 ROM for those of us with the 'other' type of volt with finicky cameras.

Goodnight! Wife is hanging out with her mom tomorrow so I will have plenty of time for more work on this.

As of 4pm 4/3/2015:

Bugs/Not working:
-Back Camera not working (front works with 3rd party camera app and/or google camera from lockscreen shortcut)
-LTE (even after flashing boost apn fix and changing port to 0 with change apn app)
-lift to wake (must turn off or display will keep turning on)
-Quick Window Flip case will turn screen on when opened, but won't turn screen off when you close it (magnet sensors are not functioning correctly it seems)

Working:
Everything else

Runs very smoothly
GPS working great

Sorry it's taking longer than I thought, I found out the hard way that lollipop is compiled way differently than kitkat. A bit of a learning curve for me (on top of another learning curve) but I'm making headway every day.

Went from cygwin to virtualbox with ubuntu to just installing ubuntu on my laptop so I could still sit next to my wife at least while working on dev work.

There is so. much. downloading involved...
