Coming to the thunderbolt!

Ordered my TB yesterday, and it should be arriving on Friday. With an upgrade and 50$ off from verizon, as well as locking in unlimited 4g data for 30$ a month was too good of a deal for me to pass up.
I am coming from the incredible, so hopefully all this talk about battery life is just nonsense like it was with the incredible. I have already purchased two cheapo batteries(1700 & 1800 mah) off ebay, and plan on rooting as soon as i get the thing up and running. If not does anyone know an easier way to get my apps transferred over? I have titanium backup pro, so this is my main reason to root the thunderbolt and get everything set up the way I like it.
Anyways, I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum and can't wait to get this phone set up and ready to go.

I used appbrain for awhile, does it store data and things like Titanium does? mostly i am worried about losing all of the time i have put into x-construct, angry birds, stupid zombies, plants vs. zombies, and all the other paid apps i got for free through the amazon app store. I still plan on rooting the thunderbolt but just in case that changes or something goes wrong it would be nice to have a backup plan.

Just in case you didn't know, I think I read somewhere that simply restoring through TiBu doesn't work on Amazon Appstore free apps. You have to redownload them through the Appstore app itself. But once you do that, you can open up TiBu and use it to just restore data.

I'm not sure as i don't have another phone to try it on yet. I have used titanium backup to backup and restore the paid apps from the Amazon store on the incredible, but i assume i could just re-download them on my new phone.

That is not true. You do have to log into the app again for the DRM to allow you to open the app, but that is it. TiBackup works well with them.

Alright, there we go. Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if you needed to directly redownload it from the Appstore or not. All I knew was that the .apks were somehow tied to the Appstore app.

I get better battery life on 3g and WiFi with my bolt then i did on my incredible. I have only had bad battery life while running straight 4g but that's expected due to the blazing speed and load it puts on the phone

That's good to hear, while i'm home for the summer i am mostly on wifi, and even when im at school i am in a 4g area but won't need to have it on while in class so hopefully the thunderbolt is just like my incredible, seeing as i can keep it on for a day and maybe 10 hours before it needs charged. I expect that if not better from the bolt seeing as it has the newer processor and i am putting the same size battery in it.
