Commuter or Candyshell

hey all, what would you say is better, the otterbox commuter or the speck candyshell, i had the candyshell on my iphone 4s and it kept it in top condition, when i removed it to get my sim card out the phone was spotless, ar the otterboxes just as good ?
 
I have the candyshell and it works well. It does not seem to be the quality of the commuter I had on my previous phone. I finally ended up going with the samsung case because it is slimmer.
 
I had the Candyshell for my iPhone 4 and was thoroughly disappointed with its build quality. I had the flaking issue with my Candyshell and Speck replaced it twice and all of them flaked. All I did was put my phone in my pocket too so there wasn't any reason for it to flake as bad as it did. Anyhoo, I currently own the Samsung Note 2 case and really like it. I'm debating on getting either the Commuter or Defender sometime soon. Seeing as how there are numerous complaints with the built in screen protector for the Defender, I'm sorta leaning towards the Commuter. You can never go wrong with the COmmuter.
 
been watching reviews between defender and commuter and the screen protector issue is putting me off the defender
