Just faced these problems with CompanionLink, the sync app I bought to sync ACT! contacts and Outlook calendar with my Samsung Galaxy S II:
1. The installation instructions on the vendor's website were not clear enough for me to be successful, so I called Tech Support and left a message. Eventually someone called back and set it up so it synced both databases
2. The second sync created duplicates for almost all contacts in both the smartphone and the laptop.
3. As CompanionLink urges customers who paid for premium support to create a tech support ticked on its website instead of calling, so I did. CL called back but after 4 p.m after my office had closed. Then they sent me an e-mail asking to create another ticket but specifying three different time periods when I will be available in the next two days. This instruction about having to schedule time periods is glaringly absent on their website.
Obviously their tech support works at its own convenience instead of the customer's convenience.
