Help Company wiping phone

Grimy

Lurker
The company I work for pays for my phone but I will be loosing my job soon and on my last day IT will be sending out a command to my phone that will wipe it clean. Any suggestions on what to use to back up contacts and texts and such? Currently I am not rooted.
Thanks for the help.

Or look into Hellium. I think its an app and a computer program(?) And backs up apps etc without root

You should be able to sync your contacts to your google account. For texts I use SMS Backup+ linked below. This will also back them up to your GMail account.

I hope this helps.

SMS Backup+ is a great app! Puts all your text messages into your Google Account for you...the only annoying thing is it also transfers your call logs, so I spend ages going through deleting those (as I don't want them) :p

Why not just export via PC / USB or simply put your own SIM in and copy them (at least contacts) to the SIM instead ?

Thanks all. I went with SMS+
Anyone know how this process is done? Can I move my SIM card to my old S1 and that phone be wiped instead of my S3?

The s3 has a smaller sim than the s1 but depending on the sim holder, you might get it to work with some jiggling around
