Comparing 5 TMO Android phones! HELP

Hello! This is my first thread on this forum. I'm 14 and getting my first phone. I'm paying for the phone and part of the bill so I knew from the start I wanted Android. TMO is the cheapest so its the one for me.

I'm looking at...
Samsung Galaxy S 4G
T-Mobile G2x (LG)
T-Mobile MyTouch 4G (HTC)
Samsung Exhibit 4G
Google Nexus S (Samsung)

The Galaxy S has the Super AMOLED display, 2.2 with Touchwiz.
The G2x has a dual core tegra 2 processor and Vanilla.
The MT4G is said to have bad battery life and Sense.
The Exhibit is a cheapo but actually seems better than the Galaxy S. Has Touchwiz.
The Nexus S is vanilla android, which I like.

Since I know no phone will be slow, battery life, build quality, update speed, and screen are the factors at the top of my list.

I'm not in a 4G area, and am only buying 200mb of fast data, so 4G doesnt matter much.

I posted here because it seems like everywhere else, samsung is terrible. I happen to like samsung and htc, and don't know enough about LG to dislike them.

I'm hoping people can reply in the same format I'm about to use to ask my questions.

1. Which 2 phones have the best battery life (not as claimed by mfr)?
2. Which companies have the best reliability?
3. Which 2 phones have the best screens?
4. Which companies release updates in a timely manor and continue to release updates to old phones?

I'm worried about the MT4G and G2x's battery life.
Thanks in advance!

Also, can I get some opinions about how these phones look?

Forgot to mention, I'll be mainly using this phone as a phone, an ipod, and a camera.

Phone needs a 3.5mm headphone jack, decent call quality, a responsive touch screen, and a decent speaker (not for speakerphone).

1. Which 2 phones have the best battery life (not as claimed by mfr)?
> I've not used all 5 phones so I can't tell you which is best, but my wife has the Galaxy S 4G and it has decent battery life, but the 4G does hurt. If you can turn off the 4G radio then you should be okay.

2. Which companies have the best reliability?
> Never had any issues with Samsung or HTC. Don't have any experience at all with LG phones.

3. Which 2 phones have the best screens?
> The Galaxy S and Nexus S both have 4.0 inch Super AMOLED screens which are gorgeous.

4. Which companies release updates in a timely manor and continue to release updates to old phones?
> Samsung does not have the greatest track record for updates to their TouchWiz phones. Of this group, your best option by far is the Nexus S because you'll get updates before pretty much anybody else (even my Nexus One). By the way this applies to apps as well as Android updates, Netflix came out first on the Nexus One and S phones and still is not yet available on the Galaxy line.

Hope this helps!
