Okay, the main beef is Shoucast not working on Android. Starting a "webcasting station" with Shoutcast beaming out the goodness. Android not likey Shoutcast or Shoutcast not likey Android?!
Using an audio player that's HTML5 with Flash fallback. Blackberry and iOS devices are all cool with the stream. Windows and Apple PCs are cool with the stream. Android, not at all. I'd assume Blackberry and iOS devices are using the HTML5 while Android is going with the Flash fallback. Maybe the problem is with Flash. When I hit play on the player in Android, I see a big arrow-play icon quickly show and then disappear, that's gotta be flash working it's magic. BB and iOS, just straight up play. Hmmm...and even if I download the Winamp for Android application, same thing. Crap.
Actually something does happen, on both the player and Winamp. The stream plays for :15-:20 seconds then craps out. Another :15 or so seconds go by and then the stream connects for about :03 seconds and then is gone completely.
So, what's the problem? Android or Shoutcast or Flash, all three?! I shall keep pressing on. Just not the play button. At least not on Android. So frustrating. Can't just leave out the masses using Android, which I am one of! Help!
