Compatible issues with Bluetooth

I have a 2013 cx5 mazda. I am having issues with calls disconnecting and not have all my contacts on my phonebook. Is anyone else having problems. I was told by Bluetooth that the galaxy 6 is not an approved phone and that since my car is 2013 it's not compatible.

Sounds a little fishy. The wife and I use (or have used) an S3, S7 Edge, Nexus 4, Nexus 6 and LG G6 with a 2011 Mitsubishi bluetooth (oh, and an ipod nano, too) with no problems.

I've had nothing but issues on all android phones thru Bluetooth in an auto.
Each auto has different playback issues, from severe to nothing at all.
Each car manufacturer makes Bluetooth their own way, so it's really hit or miss as to how well it behaves for you.

The only problem I've ever had is if I try to make a call too quickly for BT to connect, the head unit in the car forgets the whole phonebook. Reimporting the contacts are easy enough, but it is annoying.

I presume you've checked with your Mazda dealership about it? What you're describing definitely sounds like something might be buggy with the Mazda system, rather than "not an approved phone", which quite frankly sounds like they're passing the buck.
