Help Compatible phone? Note 5

Hello,
I was shopping around for a Note 5 when it occurred to me that I should probably check if it was compatible first. I don't know the frequencies that metro accepts so if someone could please help with that?

The frequencies the phone has are
Technology
GSM / HSPA / LTE
2G bands
GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G bands
HSDPA
4G bands
LTE
Speed
HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE Cat6 300/50 Mbps/ LTE Cat9 450/50 Mbps
GPRS
Yes
And yes it is unlocked.
~Thanks
Zane

Welcome to the site! :)

Your post didn't list the 3G and 4G bands, but the T-Mobile and AT&T versions do have the correct bands for MetroPCS.

MetroPCS 3G bands:
1700/2100MHz or 1900MHZ.

4G:
Band 2 = 1900MHz
Band 4 = 1700/2100MHz
Band 12 = 700MHz

Thanks for the welcome and reply Kate! I messaged the seller to see if they could specify the bands as I didn't see them in the listing. I can include the link to the listing just in case I missed anything, if that is anything of interest.

Thanks
~Zane.

I found this little snippet somewhere else in the listing not sure if it helps , I also messaged the seller just in case.

Compatibility: USA Carriers: T-Mobile (2G), AT&T (3G)

Metro uses T-Mobile so if that's correct you'd only have 2G. Is it listed as a "world" or "international" phone? Those often don't have the correct bands for high speed data in the US.

Get the exact model number, then, use this:

As this phone is relatively new (less than two weeks old),I'd be leery of e-Bayer's & the like.
If the price is below normal MSRP,something's up.

Get the IMEI & check it here:

And check w/Samsung & the carrier if it's a carrier-based phone.

Not quite sure if i did that right but screenshot included.

Some of this stuff does concern me:
"Buy with Confidence

1. 800+ Sold
2. No Carrier Logo
3. Factory Unlocked
4. Brand New
5. Sealed Box
6. No Region Lock"

But you can check the listing for yourself at

If you're gonna use it on Metro PCS,might as well get the T-Mobile version,it's less expensive & a better match:

Metro & T-Mobile are on the same network,so,the band match may be under-represented.
Seems like a great alternative, would I have to unlock it for use on metro? (One would think no because they ride the same network) and i cant seem to order one without it forcing a plan on me.

Yeah, you'd have to get it unlocked.
Give 'em a call, they should work with you.
