Compleete NoOb to internet cell

Hi Peeps,
I am a complete noob to using a phone on the internet. (3 weeks).
I have a samsung Impact that I quite frankly think is a POS.
I am looking into a Galaxy Note 2, at the bell store today they told me if I wait until the weekend I can have the $100 charge waived and get it for free if I resign a contract, or get the Galaxy S4 for $25 with contract renewal.
I have spent 10 hours a night for the past week reading reviews on the Note 2 and i love what it can do, though I dont know how to make it do all those kool things. I have been reading reviews on all kinds of phones for the past two months and am amazed at what cell phones are capable of today. At first I wanted it for an MP3 player and a camera mostly and thats why the Galaxy S4 might be better for me. Now I am fascinated with everything else the Note 2 can do and need to learn how to use it. my contract isn't up until November so I am also thinking of waiting to see if the Note 3 will come out.
I played with both S4 & Note 2 at the store for over an hour today but didn't get too far with understanding how work them. A 40 year old guy, I can completely rebuild a car but struggle with a cell phone, lol.
So what I am asking is for tutorial on features and how to use them, Once I own one of these phones I will play with it endlessly to find out how it works but until then does anyone have a "cell phone for dummies" video/blog kicking around?:stupido2:
Make fun of me all you want as long as its constructive.
Mega.

Well, first off, when you turn on the phone there's a startup guide on how to use it. There's also a manual that comes with it. You can also check out YouTube. Simply Type in Note II tutorials and you'll find a lot. At the rate software develops nowadays, its difficult to write a guide. Simply buy it, and if you have any questions you can come back here. :)

Wow Thanks whitecollar I liked the video and it sets my mind at ease that I might be making a mistake about getting the Note 2 now instead of waiting until sometime in the fall when the Note 3 comes out. if its only minor upgrades I may as well get the Note 2 now, especially if I don't have to pay any cash and just renew my contract.
I am reading as much of this book as they will allow on amazon web site to get a better understanding.
Thanks for the tips.

I like your advice, to commit to the purchase gives me butterflies, lol. its a whole new world for me and I am pretty excited about it. I think I might just go get it this weekend.
and I am sure I will have a tonn more questions once I do.

I have been so concerned with reviews I didn't think of looking on youtube for a tutorial, I am usually a better researcher than that. Great advice, I just looked it up and their are a lot on there.
I really like the note 2 keyboard and the auto suggestions it has while I type, I will be using that a lot. I tried an Iphone 5 today as well and thought it lacked by comparison.
Thanks.
