Help "Complete Action Using" Dialog missing apps

Anyone else having problems with the "complete action using" dialog box. Whenever I click on a link from either chrome, firefox, or dolphin, I never get the option to open with any app other than another web browser. I seem to recall i used to get the options back on my Nexus 4. The only time I get an alternative option now is when I click on a google play link. I've tried links from facebook, yelp, twitter, and this forum and none of them work.

Any thoughts? Is anyone else having the same issue?

Sounds as if the link you're opening needs an app to complete the action (like a .pdf reader) and you don't have any app that would work for that file type.

I wish that were the case. Acrobat reader is on of the apps that actually works. So clearly some of them are working. I hate intermittent issues :-(

Another example: when I go the email that there was a reply to this thread, I clicked on the link my my email and it only gave me the option to open with a web browser and not the app.
