I'm still trying out CM7.2, and I'm getting more familiar with it. I have a question about themes. Although I prefer a plain, dark screen for battery performance, I thought I would try downloading and installing a theme. I installed HoneyGrayscale from the market. When I then uninstalled the theme, I saw it had left remnants of the modifications. An example is the docking bar. The original had 3 icons, and now it had 5, larger icons. I found where I could change it back to the original settings, so I did.
Other than restoring from a previous backup (which right now I'm assuming is the best, most effective way), is there another way of removing a theme, including all aspects and modifications it performed in the installation? I haven't done an extensive search, but it seems most developers do not list what all is changed when installing their themes.
Thanks!
Steve
Still researching. Should I perform the "backup" from the backup and restore settings of ADW Launcher before installing a theme? (See attachment) After installing a theme, will the "restore" revert all settings the theme changed? Sorry about all the questions! I hate leaving "bits" of unnecessary data after I've uninstalled something.
