Root completely lost

The sticky post "All Things Root Guide" in this forum has a couple of links on what root actually is.
Basically it gives you superuser access - like being administrator on Windows if that is more familiar to you. Lets you change things you couldn't change before.

Read a lot, and proceed with caution if you decide to root. It is possible to brick your phone and you are responsible for anything that happens to your phone. That being said it isn't too hard as long as you follow directions and if in doubt just ask questions BEFORE you proceed.
