Compress MMS Pics?

Ive noticed while sending an image I get a message saying image too large, compressing, the message is sent but can take up to 30mins for someone to recieve. Is there a way I can compress the image further to reduce send times, or some other setting (lower camera quality etc)

You could try lowering the image quality by going to your camera settings and reducing it.

where abouts are those settings exactly, am new to all this

changed the setting from 8mp to 0.3 - picture still takes ages to send and attachment is still around 256k

I wonder if you can put a compressed file inside a compressed folder.. haha
