computer no longer recognizing phone

my phone is rooted and i have fresh 1.1 everything was working just fine yesterday i was tethered to my netbook and just now was tryng to tether again when an error messege appeared and computer said unrecognized device connected. great i can even mount sd card says its mounted but not showing up as a removable drive this sux oh i still have htc sync installed on comp too

might wanna tell us the OS you're running, how you're connecting, whether the usb port can read other devices and whether the sd card can be read in another card reader.

My windows 7 comp has no issues with fresh 1.1, though I had to troubleshoot htc sync this mornin for a while.

What did you do for the sync problem? My phone can't connect to sync. Running fresh 1.1 on windows 7 as well
