Hi, I'm an "advanced beginner" in Android and I'm testing the SDK emulator in Ubuntu 12.04. Everything is going well, but I've found in a difficult situation to resolve. I have a netbook that I carry with me everywhere in which I have a virtual machine with WhatsApp installed. My problem is that while I'm home, I connect to wi-fi and send and receive messages from there, but when I go traveling I connect to the Internet via a USB 3G modem and the virtual machine can't connect to internet. What are the steps to do this? Do I have to root my device (how should I do it?)? I've tried the following:
1) Install and configure my modem PPPWidget from there, with no success, and
2) Install Xposed Framework + FakeWifiConnection. It does not work. Xposed tells me not have root permission to install. What I should do?
