Help Configuring email account

I am not able to configure my email account on my Dell streak 5 OS android 2.2, the problem I am facing is that I am able to do it when I am connected to wifi but when I am using my data plan I am not able to do it it says unable to connect to the server, however I am able to browse using my data plan , pls help :mad:
 
It has to do with your settings. I have had the same issue when I got a new phone, twice. Depending on your provider, the setting may vary. There are plenty of postings here about setting up email. I use K9 for my mail.
