I gotta give it to Rovio (not Apple... not iPhone) for creating a great game. Good to see its coming to Android. There seem to be more and more cross platform developers these days. Good news for us all.

I sent a message to rovio.com asking them about a release date for angry birds, here is their reply......

Thank you for contacting rovio, we expect a release date for angry birds on the android platform to be mid august to end of august, or possibly sooner!

Been on their notification list for a couple weeks. About time! The only thing that iPhone has over android is angry birds.

So perhaps they didn't "lie" about the release date they said earlier... (End of august)

I don't really get the appeal of angry birds or any of the clones like crush the castle, blowup etc. I tried one of the them once and got bored after destroying two houses!

I'd be much more interested in Plants vs Zombies or something...
