Confirmed unthrottled LTE?? (Sorta kinda??)

I've had mostly unthrottled LTE. I'm not sure why, but if I move my phone an inch, it'll knock back to 3G, but it will still get as high as 400 KB/s download. But, I wanted 4G back because I get 1.2 MB/s, so I switched airplane mode on and off, and then it connected me but I was being throttled...

So then I restarted my phone a couple of times, tinkered with airplane mode and PRL and data profile and mostly hoping and guessing, and speedtests each time, until LTE full speed came back. So yeah, i've downloaded about 35 GB over LTE. My area is very small and very few people here are on sprint it seems, so maybe that's it, but it doesn't explain why i'm only throttled sometimes. Data is being iffy unless I just don't touch my phone and then I get 1+ MBPS download, 500 KB/s upload and very game-able pings.

That's been my experience. Anyone else care to share? I had the phone for three days.

Are you beint throttled? Or are you at the edge of the coverage ranges of 2 towers and when the phone switches to the slower one you're getting slower data.

Sprint is funny in their tower placement. We have a spot a couple of miles from here where moving about 3" changes the signal from 5 bars to dead air. It's like that TV show Under the Dome. Move an inch and you're under some sort of "no coverage dome". Now put up another tower with much slower speeds that covers the dead zone and you'd get the same effect. As soon as you're handed off to the slower tower it's like you're being throttled.

Sprint may give you lots of data, but at the speeds you normally get from them, it doesn't amount to that much unless you spend most of your time downloading data.

It's weird. With this phone I'm only throttled a bit, but it's like it isn't working at all when I'm throttled. The LTE is new where I live. It's like drawing cards just to suddenly get the right conditions on my phone and if I don't touch it, I have unrestricted LTE!

It isn't counting it on the site, either. It says 2800 MB used or so, but I'm not at all being throttled via LTE it seems, if i'm connected to a certain tower maybe?
