Confused.. Another Notification symbol

[Chris_Bez]

Hi,
Has anyone ever seen this notification symbol before? Its popped up recently since a Samsung push update...
(I would post a pic but it wont let me..)
Basically its in the top left grey square, like a fat pencil but the pointy bit is pointing left with a black horizontal line in the middle of it.
Thanks in advance!

Your notifications are turned off.

is it input like when the keyboard pops up there? can you touch it and it does something like how we now change input device whilst typing?, could also be 3rd party what have you got installed..

You disabled the notifications, just pull down the menu and "press" on "Notification" to get rid of it.

not to thread jump but does disabling noficiations help with battery life?

also when notifications are disable do you still get the badge # update on SMS and other icons that have a badge count on the icon?

Ok... that seems far to simple!
Thanks a lot for the help, thats sorted it!!

I am not sure how it works essentially, but if it's just "blocking" them from getting through, rather than disabling them, there's no actual improvement on battery life.
