Confused now

Chaps,

Some of you may remember my thread in the DHD forum a while back where I was looking for a new handset, well on the advise of many I held off, waiting for this phone to arrive.

I'm looking at just buying the phone, so

The 4s is the darling of the blogosphere, as many blogs are related to Apple advertisers.

It's old news compared to the One X.

As an owner of several HTC phones, including an S3 dual core, I can promise you that your everyday use with a multi core will blow your socks off, even compared to a worthy contender like the DHD.

Not only did I enjoy a big increase in responsiveness, my battery life far improved.

And if you care about pictures, the new camera is a winner.

I would say to try out both the X and S in a shop if possible, maybe one or the other will have a better feel to you personally.

Myself, I like the X's larger LCD screen.

Hope this helps! :)

Thanks for the input, it helps. To get input from a hands-on user is so much more useful than a paid by advertising review.

Might have to pop into a phone shop on the way home tonight :)

Cheers.

Having had both (although only having the X for 6 or so hours :p), I don't think you'll better this phone any time soon.

Size wise, it's not much bigger than the DHD, but it's thinner and lighter. I checked out the S in store and the X feels much better. If you get it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Got it :)

Just trying to get to grips with it now. Slightly bigger than the DHD, but not much, and as you say, thinner and lighter.

Much more responsive than the DHD on even simple tasks, so thats good. Battery is a massive improvement on the DHD, lasting at the moment, in excess of 24 hours, with similar use.

Just got to sort the launcher now, although want to avoid the possibility of comprimising the battery, by having too many widgets on the screen.

Good so far anyway.

Cheers.

Good stuff, glad you're enjoying it! :)

I've been pretty impressed with battery life too, I'd excess of 30 hours on the last charge including 3 1/2 hours of screen on time & over an hour using Endomodo/GPS. HTC look to have got this spot on.

Have you spent much time fiddling with the camera?

No, not fiddled with it at all. Did some point and press picture taking, and quite impressed with the results.

Really need something to protect that rather large screen, but hopefully by month end I should have that sorted.

Cheers,
