Hey everyone..little bit confused with the update thats available now on my phone..
My timeline with this phone went like this:
Had 2.3.4 and had root. Did a OTA update a while ago and got 2.3.6 (and lost root).
Followed instructions on this site and got myself rooted again using the CW/Odin methods.
Went away to mexico this past week, had no service with boost, came home and aside from a ton of texts and app updates, I also have another "Android system update" thats 7.6mb in size.
My brother has the same phone as me(but was still only running 2.3.4 because he never had the OTA come to his phone) and he went ahead and DLd it and says he has a different lock screen and now has the "accept call" screen that I have had since my first 2.3.6 update. He said however his version number is 2.3.6 . Is this a "re-issued" 2.3.6 or something? Id assume if I DL it ill lose root?
Just trying to clarify what it is exactly..
