Confusion

Hi,
I just bought my brother an lg-l38c, smart talk phone because Im an amazing sister...lol and I'm trying to set it all up for him before he gets home from work in 3 hours....
The problem is every app I try to download for him says package file is invalid!!!! UGH it's driving me insane. How do I fix it before he gets home????
