Congressional Gold Medals for Capitol Police

the House voted for these medals to the brave men that stood up against the insurrectionists 413-12.

what i find appalling is those 12 votes against it. i mean really? those men and women who defended the capitol are heroes in my eyes.

the majority of Republicans voted for it, but what about those 12 who did not? i think it is deplorable on what they did. it is shameful that they would deny these police men and women the honor.

anyways i am glad the House voted for it. i am especially glad that all of the Democrats and the majority of Republicans voted for it. they deserve it. Those men and women are the true Americans. talk about Patriots!!!!

i wish we knew their names other then officer Eugene Goodman and Brian Sicknick.

though unfortunate for it to happen to the woman, she deserved to be shot....she was storming the capitoll!!!!!did you even see the scene?..it was chaotic!!! they just broke the glass to the door and those cops had no idea what their intentions were. they looked and sounded murderous to me....i would have shot anybody trying to break into that door if that was my house.

and those capitol police that were complacent and took photos and such with the insurrectionists are either being investigated, suspended or fired.

anybody there on capitol grounds illegally are all unpatriotic and deserves as much jail time as the law permits.

if you do not think that Eugene Goodman does not deserve a medal for what he did, then i'm not sure what to say.

edit: and lets not forget that those idiots killed a policeman. Brian Sicknick was killed by these white supremacists! and i thought these guys were all for Blue Lives Matter crap......I guess not.

I'm not getting into the gist of this issue, only that anyone breaking into a building is trespassing, and lawfully is breaking the law, period.
If a policeman makes the decision to stop a trespasser and feels threatened, by all means necessary, then yes he acted within his means
