Help Connect Android tablet to computer using Ethernet to use the Android tablet as a external wifi dongl

So, what I basically want to achieve here is to successfully connect my android tablet to my computer and use it as a wifi dongle by connecting the two devices through Ethernet. I'm using the Samsung galaxy tab a and a computer running Windows 10. I've heard about tethering but I'm pretty sure that's for mobile phones only. I have enabled developer options and I see a choice for USB Ethernet, but it doesn't connect my computer to the internet. Any help?

Frankly I don't think you can do that, use a Galaxy Tab as a WiFi dongle for a PC. Probably be mucheasier just to get a regular low-cost USB WiFi dongle, plug that into the computer, and enable internet sharing with it from the OS, which I assume is Windows.

If I understood well, you already have wifi and you want your computer to be able to use the wifi instead of running the cable, right ?
