I cannot get my phone to connect to my dji phantom 3. it says it is connected with on internet but the app will not connect to the controller unless i disable the mobile network? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello!
So are you looking to completely disable the cell network as you state, "disable the mobile network" to get connection to your drone, or you want to keep cell active while connected to wifi as stated in the thread title.
Sorry, I'm a little corn-fyoozed
I want to keep the cell network active while connected to the wifi. for some reason the only way i can get the app to connect to the drone is to disable the cellular network.
Well, I know that in the Developer settings, there is an option to keep the cellular active.
To access the Developer option, go to settings/about phone/software info/and tap on the "build number" 7 times.
That will enable the option.
Back out to settings and scroll down to it.
Note, don't mess with things you are not sure of in there, you may bork your device
I would contact DJI about it, it sounds like an issue or bug. Shouldn't have to go into developer settings just to make a drone controller app work. Tell them what device you've got, make, model, Android version etc.
