connect with internet problem

I choose the wifi to connect to, put in password and it connected,, however when go to use the internet it says it is not connected. Also it shows a fair connection. WiFi works great for my laptop. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like your local wifi network is working fine but that it is not routing the external internet connection to your phone.

On your phone connect to wifi
Long press the icon for the connected network
select Modify network connection
tick Show advanced options
scroll down and check that IP settings says DHCP (assuming that your router is set to do this - if your router is set to allocate static IP addresses, you need to set your phone up as one of them)

This is all I can think of - you could also try rebooting your router if you have not already do so.
