Help connected/paired without putting in a code all the time?

I have a bluetooth keyboard to go with my Samsung tablet. Is there any way i can keep it connected/paired without putting in a code all the time? Do you think i could turn the keyboard on/off without re-pairing also?
And can i put the bluetooth keyboard as the default setting for text input?

I do not use Bluetooth, but I Googled around and found an informative video (it's only a review, but does have info).. let me know if any of it is helpful.. the interesting stuff on the page is not just the video, but the public comments with tips and info about setting up, the limitations, etc:
