Connecting Motorola Droid to windows xp based PC

New user here. I am trying to get windows xp to recognize the sd card on my droid, is there a way to do this? Also is there any windows based software that is similar to the blackberry desktop manager? Tried to search for this answer but only found solutions for windows 7. Thanks for the help!

Hmmm. Yes, but...

I have not tried installing the card into a reader on my pc, so *that* I can't tell you about.

But, you can plug your turned-on phone into the usb cable that's plugged into your pc, and have the pc 'see' the card and read/write it. When you plug the phone in, you'll get a notification that says "USB Connected." Pull down the notification bar, and tap on the "USB Connected' notification, and you'll get a dialog up that asks if you'd like to "mount" Choose mount, and you will now be able to see your sd card (and write to it) from your pc.

Easy, huh? Good luck!

Hi Johnny_w, thanks for the response, I went to the motorola site and attempted to download the software but it seems the link to nero software is broken. I'll keep trying.
