Connecting to car

I just bought a Elephone P9000 and was lead to believe that I can connect it to the car with only a USB cable and it would play audio through the car speakers just as if I connected a line in cable but I cant seem to get it to work. Ive been told you need to go into developer options and switch USB connection to audio mode, this doesnt seem to do anything.

Can someone help.

Each car manufacturer is different.
What ports are on the car radio?
Does the radio have Bluetooth?

usb and line in. no Bluetooth unfortunately
at the moment i am using a older phone in my card with both usb and line in cables but just thought that with this newer phone on android 6 only a usb cable is needed

Looks like the new phone uses USB-C cable.
You'd have to buy an adapter that has usb-c on one end, and the male USB on the other to connect correctly. Or just stick with line in

i got that lead. i guess it doesnt work then

looking into buying a bluetooth transmitter. i come accross 2 kinds, a fm transmitter and a 3.5mm transmitter. i am guess that the 3.5mm transmitter will be a stronger connection as with fm transmitters you need to select a station without interference
