Help Connecting to Vodafone UK problems

Just recieved the SGS3 and by the looks of it an amazing piece of kit, only problem is that I can't connect to the Mobile network 'Vodafone UK'. Everytime I click it it says 'Unable to connect, try later'.
One thing I suspect is that I may have not registered the Sim Card, would this effect this ?
Also Wi-Fi Is working fine.
Any help would be great, thanks.

You'll have to ring Vodafone to register the sim I had to with mine because I was swapping to a micro sim.
