Help connection eror to mac os, please help!

I downloaded '' Android file transfer '' from Anroid.com and installed it to my mac sucessfully but when I connect the acer a500 to mac by usb then it quit unexpectedly. '' The system and other applications have not been affected'' .Please help!
btw, is there another way to connect android to mac os?

Can you not use a bluetooth dongle? It will take longer, but there is no special software or installs needed.
