I am trying to unlock my phone. I have paid for codes. My friend has exactly the same model of phone and rom and it worked for him . I get:

Connection problem or Invalid MMI code

I have been googling for hours now with no real result. Can anyone help me?

Check which radio mode your phone is in. If it's not in CDMA mode, then the MMI code you are entering will not work.

go to a browser that can access the internet and put mmi codes in wikipedia and it should work. its under architechture
