Help Connectivity

Anyone having any connectivity issues? Data stops working or becomes very slow. Often, going into airplane mode tests everything, but sometimes not for long. So far, the problem only really seems to happen at home. I can't tell if it's my handset, antenna problems, it what.

Install Signal Check Lite amd see what kind of data signal you're getting in your house. You may be living in a dead spot for your carrier. (My daughter's house is totally dead for Sprint - voice, data, everything - but walk 10 feet across her lawn toward her neighbor's house and there's useable signal.)

Oh yeah. I'm outside on a clear day with 4 bars of 4G and get the dreaded "You have no internet connection."

You can try setting the mobile network to WCDMA only. That will stop it from dipping into 2G(like mine does all the time - but I do live in a crappy 4G area, so it goes), but if your area isn't a strong 4G network you will lose data completely when it drops out of 4G.

I switched from the LG Motion at bout the same time T-Mobile took over so I wonder if that is what is behind the f'd up data connections I have been getting.

I will be switching back to the Motion, so I will have the answer to that soon enough.

This is a handy app, I even bought the paid version and I'm keeping an eye on it in my status bar now. So far, it looks like my area and not my phone. Thanks!

Interesting development: I went into Metro to see about the connectivity problem. They opened a trouble ticket with T-Mobile to see if the towers were handling my connection properly, if that doesn't stove the problem, then they would look at the phone. She opened the ticket Sun night and did they would be in touch within 5 business days. Today I get a text from Metro staying that the ticket had been closed because the problem had been resolved. I've been home and had no problems all night. According to signal check my signal isn't bobbing around nearly as much, so I think I'm good to go!
