Considering mytouch 4g

I am considering getting the mytouch 4g as a brand new customer with T-mobile. I would appreciate if you all could give me some real answers as people who have experience with the phone. I wanted to get iphone but refuse to go on with AT$T 2gb data plan.

My questions are: Can I get my work email (exchange) with the mytouch? and will it push it instantly? how about gmail? can the mytouch push that as well?

Does calling over WIFI in fact use your minutes while doing so? If so, what is the advantage? Are there other apps out there that let you make free calls over wifi?

Can I use google voice to send/receive free text messages and bypass paying for a texting plan with t-mobile?

Is the speakerphone really that bad as reviews are saying it is? How about general volume when making calls, is it too soft for most of you? I think it was just a picky reviewer, but I just want to be sure before I get locked in a 2 year agreement. I really want something with unlimited data so i can use pandora nonstop and listen to online radio stations as well nonstop throughout the day, and send/receive tons of emails

Thanks!

My questions are:
Can I get my work email (exchange) with the mytouch? Yes, mine works like that, using the webmail service.

and will it push it instantly? It's usually instant, sometimes there is about a 30 second delay

how about gmail? yes, of course

can the mytouch push that as well? yes, of course

Does calling over WIFI in fact use your minutes while doing so? yes

If so, what is the advantage? If you have bad cell service at your current location and there is wifi, you can use that to call instead of relying on another service or no service.

Are there other apps out there that let you make free calls over wifi?not to my knowledge

Is the speakerphone really that bad as reviews are saying it is? mine seems to work fine. The iPhone sounded better, but it works fine.

How about general volume when making calls, is it too soft for most of you? It works fine for me. Sometimes in the car I prefer to use a headset plugged into the phone, but that's more personal preference while I'm driving a stick.

I was going to respond but all my answers are already written. The mytouch 4g is a wonderful device and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it

Thank you all for your replys, just wondering about this last question

Oh sorry I use gv and yes you can and its what I do. Gv does have its own number so if you're going to use it then make it your primary number.

Ok, then I won't get a text plan with t-mobile. Thanks again!

Hi,
Ive just joined and Im also a Blackberry guy... So this phone has the capability of pushing emails like blackberry? Is it an app you need to buy/download? I really want to get out of the BB phone, but need my emails right when they are sent. Its imperative to my business. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
Bryant

It pushes gmail directly of course but there seems to be a delay if you use hotmail
or anything.

I hear there is push exchange
