Finally got it activated last week once I received the SIM activation kit and had the SIM cut at the T-Mo store. I activated it with a temporary number then ported my VM # the next day. Freakin' porting process took over 3 days so people should be aware of that. It seems that's pretty common per howardforums.
I've been performing speed tests at places I frequent and am really pleased with the results. Slowest I've seen was 768 kbps (also a bad area for VM), but except for that one area, I've been getting 4700-19600 kbps download and 1500-3600 kbps upload. However, latency is using ~1000 ms which is little disappointing. Extremely pleased especially for $30/mo.
