Root Constant Signal Drop

Ok, so I had previoysky fixed this issue, but after flashing CM12.1, the problem is back.

Basically my signal gets dropped at least 2 times per minute. Which is a huge problem as need to be able to make calls without worrying about it getting dropped.

Any ideas on how to fix?

It's a known issue with our build of CM12/12.1. Flashing the APN fix listed in the first post of the rom thread has helped for some.

Thanks for the help, but this problem persists even upon restoring stock ROM, and all the APN fix does is fix GPS, make it say Boost Mobile, and slightly help with LTE.

So that doesn't help in this case.

I lost LTE flashing this as well. Flashing the 12.1 Candy ROM with the APN fix restored it. Back on stock due to other issues with Candy, LTE still working.

Let me get this straight your lte is working on stock after installing candy ( I've haven't had no issues with candy thus far )

I had the signal drop issue as well. To temporarily fix this, try the following: go to Settings > Mobile networks. Under Preferred network type, select 3G. I noticed that my signal was dropping due to an incorrect APN configuration. Switching network types causes the signal to drop temporarily while it changes from 3G to LTE or vice versa. After I applied the APN fix on my phone, my signal stopped dropping randomly, and my GPS signal started locking more quickly. If you stay with 3G, the signal will stay constant. Let me know what's up.

If the APN fix won't work, select CDMA. Your signal should stop dropping.

I've also applied the APN fix but LTE doesn't lock on or show properly till I go into the APN menu and edit the settings to "nudge" it into LTE. Anyone know what the proper settings should be? Maybe the fix missed something..

I am having the dropping signal and no lte on a completely brand new, stock and nonrooted volt.

I had another volt that broke and the lte on that worked fine and no dropped signals at all. I don't understand why this is happening to some phones and other phones are fine. My area has good lte signal too.

im running the rooted zv5 deodexed rom flashed the radio at the time of flashing . later flashed the apn fix but i still have issues with this phone dropping signal like crazy. i have strong lte in my area i never had a problem until recently with this phone dropping in and out. ill take a few screen shots between a 10 min interval and show you what its doing. any help or advice is greatly appreciated. is odexed better the deodexed?

The difference between odexed and deodexed is mainly if you want to use custom themes. this explains it pretty well: http://codeversed.com/deodexed-vs-odexed-rom/

i am downloading the odexed v5 ROM right now. going to flash that with the z5 radio and APN fix and crossing my fingers that it will work.
