Help contacs sync

Hi,

I just bought a Galaxy S - and I am in complete and utter love with it.
However the contacts are giving me a hard time. Joining contacs etc takes some time to do by hand.

Like most people I've had problems with connecting the phone the pc either through Kies or NPS. However I've succeeded.

With Kies I can only transfer media (videos, music, photos) - NPS on the other hand gives some more options.

I have no problems in transferring media to and from the phone, but when I try to manage the contacs via NPS this happens:

As you can see on the right - it found my phone "Jakob Galaxy".
How ever when I try to pick it as the device that needs to be synced NPS suddenly cant see it.

All drivers are working perfectly - according to W7.

Have any body else encountered the same problem, and if you managed to solve it - how did you do?

Sync your contacts with g-mail. Its possible from the phonebook works a lot better.

Samsung hardware is awsome, software however....

But thats why you can flash rom's

do you know how I could sync the phone contacts onto my gmail account?

so far I've tried manually and emailing myself and then opening the attached contact on the phone and saving it to gmail, but it seems too "difficult".

There must be an easier way?
