Help Contact Birthdays not displayed in Android Calender Widget

I have just got my Wildfire S an am loving it very much. However, I am unable to display birthdays/anniversarys etc that I have entered for my contacts in the stock "Android Calendar" widget.

It will display Facebook birhdays but I do not want this, only events that I have created for my contacts.

Any help greatly appreciated in this matter.

You'll need to add them to the calendar manually for them to be displayed unfortunately. The Birthday section of the contact field will only give you a little reminder if you open the contact, it doesn't add it to the calendar as far as I'm aware.

Do you you have "Gmail: Contacts' birthdays and events" selected in your Calendar configuration?
