Contact Display

This has been asked before, even by me but it's driving me mental!

Even though in google and on my phone i have my contact name down as Marie it never comes through as marie, just there email. How can i make it say Marie?????

I am just thinking allowed but it may help...go into google mails webface>settings>accounts and import then edit info in 'send mail as'
